Molly Adams, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

The greatest gift you can give someone is the space to be his or her authentic self.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

My therapeutic philosophy revolves around creating an inclusive, safe, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Drawing from evidence based modalities such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Rogerian Therapy I collaborate with individuals to foster resilience and facilitate positive modification. I utilize a strength-based approach when considering the needs of my clients. It is important to me to create personal growth and meaningful change and find it of the utmost importance to meet my clients where they are at collaborate with them to find their version of success.

APPROACH

    • I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a masters degree in Social Work.

    • I am fully licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

    • I hold a Certified First Responder Counselor Certificate. This 50 hour course created by Academy Hour provides mental health clinicians with the tools needed to effectively reach and support first responders with cultural competence, expertise, confidence, and empathy.

My favorite part of being a therapist is the ability to form a connection with my clients to support them through their growth and progress of navigating life's challenges. I find fulfillment in providing guidance, facilitating moments of insight, and making a positive impact on the individuals I work with. Sitting alongside someone during their journey toward healing and self-discovery is something I continue to appreciate every day.
